I think this is my first official journal post. That's weird, I've had this thing for almost 5 years and I've never actually blogged in it, I've just used it for communities and such. Oh well, here goes: summer blogging challenge entry one. My plan is to update this thing everyday until I leave for Europe which is on July 23rd. So, hopefully I can keep it going. My other summer goals:


1. have fun in Europe, be the person I want to be in Europe.
2. actually post the ADIML's that I make [look for one this Saturday, I'm going to the Farmer's Market :] YAY]
3. get in shape/complete the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred
4. Enter [and win] the Woman'sDay July 4th Cake Contest
5. Apply for 2010 Study Abroad
6. READ, READ, READ
7. Apply myself at my job, keep job through 2-week vacation, if I lose job, get job at SBucks.
8. Write beautiful things

I don't know how many of those I'll actually accomplish, but hopefully I'll manage to do a few of them.

I should have labeled this post: The Road To Cake Contest Greatness because that is what I will be talking about for the rest of this post. And I won't even really be talking about it, I'll just be posting my ideas for it.

Basics:
Contest ends July 1st, have my pictures up by then
Angel food cake w/ blueberry and strawberry layer to represent stars and stripes
Covered in french buttercream
Butter cream covered with fondant
